07/11/2022 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up GOODMAN Approved Entered by GOODMAN - REVISITED SITE, FOUND MULTIPLE UNITS ON BUILDING ONE HAD BEEN BREACHED, UNIT 103 HAD A PERSON INSIDE AND A ARREST WAS MADE BY TPD. UNIT 105 HAD FRONT DOOR BREACHED AND LATER A PERSON WALKED OUT 0F UNIT #112 AND PERSON ARRESTED BY TPD. TPD KICKED DOOR OPEN TO UNIT #106 BECAUSE A HOLE HAS BEEN CUT FROM 106 THRU THE PARTING WALL INTO 112. TPD CLEARED ALL UNITS. ALL 12 UNITS HAD THE FRONT DOORS BOARDED AT A MINIMUM AND ANY UNITS WITH BROKEN WINDOWS HAD WINDOWS SECURED AS WELL. FENCING COMPANY WAS CONTACTED TO SECURE BUILDING ONE BY FENCE.
07/07/2022 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up VALDEZ Approved Entered by VALDEZ - ONSITE MEETING WITH MANAGEMENT, I DID ADVISE OF THE CITY'S DIRECTION ON BLDG 1, A CITATION WAS ISSUED AND THE ARRAIGNMENT DATE IS SET FOR AUGUST 10, 2022, A COPY OF THE CITATION AND THE COURT MINUTES FOR THE GEORGETOWN APARTMENT WERE HANDED OVER TO YOU. THE CODE ENFORCEMENT INSPECTION STAFF DID FIND MULTIPLE UNSECURED UNITS TODAY AND ALERT YOU AND YOUR STAFF. AS FAR AS CONTINUED TRANSIENT ACTIVITY AND UNSECURED UNITS DUE TO UNLAWFUL ACTS. WE DISCUSSED METHODS USED IN OTHER APARTMENT BUILDINGS. 1. ELIMINATION OF THE ATTRACTIVE NUISANCE 2. PERIMETER BARRIER WITH GATE CODE ACCESS 3. SECURITY MONITORING SYSTEM 4. 24-HOUR PRIVATE SECURITY FORCE 5. REVIEW ALL TENANT CONTRACTS, OFTEN TIMES THEY COULD BE THE ATTRACTIVE NUISANCE. INSPECTOR GOODMAN HAS ASKED FOR A LIST OF WHICH UNITS HAVE LEGAL OCCUPANTS. ENSURE ALL UNSECURED UNITS ARE PROPERLY SECURED. IF UNSECURED UNITS ARE FOUND BY TUCSON POLICE THEY WILL CALL CODE ENFORCEMENT TO TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION TO SECURE THE UNITS. BLDG 1 HAS BEEN SECURED BY THE CITY MULTIPLE TIMES, THE NEXT LEVEL OF SECUREMENT IS TO FENCE THE BUILDING. PLEASE ADVISE ONCE PLANS HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED FOR BLDG 1. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER REQUIRED, PERMITS REQUIRED FOR THE BUILDING AND THE NEW SERVICE.
06/30/2022 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up VALDEZ Approved Entered by VALDEZ - ONSITE INSPECTION RESULTS: BLDG 1, HAS 3 UNITS WITH BOARDS UNITS 103 AND 112. UNITS 107 HAS A CRACKED WINDOW. UNIT 104 HAS A BROKEN WINDOW. THERE NO PERMITS FOR THE WALL DAMAGED CAUSE BY VEHICLE IMPACT TO UNIT 107 NOR AN ELECTRICAL PERMIT FOR A NEW SERVICE TO THE BUILDING THIS BUILDING IS A VACANT, DILAPIDATED AND NEGLECTED. THE 100 AMP PANEL FOR THE GATE SYSTEM MAIN BREAKER WAS TURNED OFF DUE TO EXPOSED WIRING FROM AN OPEN JUNCTION BOX.
