03/18/2022 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved EMERGENCY CALL OUT BY TFD: THERE IS DAMAGE DUE TO WOOD ROT AND FIRE TO THE WALKWAY'S SUPPORT WOOD MEMBERS, THE WALKWAY IS A CONCRETE CAP ON TOP OF A WOOD DECK AND FRAMING MEMBERS. THE CONCRETE STAIRS ARE SUPPORT BY A STEEL FRAME FROM THE FIRST FLOOR TO THE SECOND FLOOR AND BOLTED TO THE WOOD FRAMING MEMBERS ON THE SECOND FLOOR. THE WOOD SUPPORT MEMBER WHERE THE STAIR FRAME BOLTS TO HAS SPLIT AND HAS LOOSE BOLTS. THE WOOD MEMBERS UNDERNEATH THE FRAME HAS SEVERE WOOD ROT AND FIRE DAMAGE.

REMARKS: A STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING AND A PERMIT IS REQUIRED FOR REPAIRS. THE CONCRETE STAIRS TO THE THE SECOND FLOOR WALKWAY AND THE END OF THE WALKWAY WAS BARRICADED. A 4 X 4 VERTICAL SUPPORT WAS INSTALLED TO SUPPORT THE WALKWAY'S DEAD LOAD. UNITS 210, 211 AND 212 WERE CONDEMNED DUE TO THE LOCATION OF THE UNITS IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE DAMAGED STAIRWAY AND WALKWAY.
