Thrall Date: 8/4/21 Codes: Unified Development Standards (UDC) 7A Sign Standards, National Electrical Code (NEC), Tucson-Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), International Building Code (IBC). 1) Per the sign area and height of the sign shown, this is a "pole" sized freestanding sign, reviewed as such. (UDC 7A.10.2.C.2, freestanding sign types.) 2) (UDC 7A.10.2.C.2) minimum setback for a pole sign is 30' from face of street curb. The setback shown is 24'. Revise. 3) (UDC 7A.10.2.C.2) on site plan sheet, provide the length of the street property line. (Acknowledged it will exceed 125' linear feet and a pole sign would be a permitted sign type, this is needed for calculation of total sign area as well as for the permit record.) 4) Revise the sight visibility triangle - use the SVT from the approved Development Package - look on detail sheet. 5) Sheet 1 sign elevation - dimension the support pole diameter to match the engineering sheets provided. 6) Sheet 1 sign elevation - are you showing a second support pole within the sign or is this a drafting line set leftover on the data layer? 7) Sheet 1 sign elevation - specify if any onsite welds, if so - special inspection required by engineer. 8) Means of disconnect for the electrical - clarify shut off / lock out / circuit locations for inspections. 9) Specify the volts, amps and circuit. 10) Clarify - add note - power to sign run by others via approved building permit. 11) Engineering is approved for the footer / sought pipe sizes, thank you. 12) Revised plans can be resubmitted to Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov |
