Thrall Date: 6/22/21 Permit status: partial approval Codes: Unified Development Code (7A, Sign Standards), National Electrical Code (NEC), Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), and International Building Code (IBC) 2018. 1) Sign is not illuminated, NEC & OLC review not needed. 2) Sign Standards - sign is a monument sign design, meets setbacks and height, and sign area for the zone / use. Thank you. 3) IBC 2018: A) remarks for "field welding" were noted on the plan notes pertaining to special inspection, however, only fillet welding was noted on the actual diagram. Staff will be stamping this plan "no field welding" unless a revised notation on the diagram is provided to clarify otherwise. B) Please have the engineering company to seal and fill out this special inspection form to declare the special inspections needed, and the associated qualified special inspector, and return to staff for review: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/pdsd/forms/Special_inspection_certificate.pdf A current list of qualified special inspectors is kept under the Town of Oro Valley for the surrounding area. C) provide note with exact dimensions of both the sign footers for inspection of the excavation prior to pour D) clarify how sign lettering is attached to the mesh component (just add a note) Please return the updated information to Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov |
