Thrall Date: 7/09/21 (2nd review / referral to MSP process) Codes: Unified Development Code Sign Standards 7A, National Electrical Code (NEC 600), Tucson-Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), and International Building Code 2018 (IBC) Understood that this proposal would be proceeding to the master sign program (*MSP*) process. 1) UDC 7A.11.3 - scenic corridor zone standards a) *0' setback along Houghton property line / start of scenic buffer requires Master Sign Program (MSP) to vary this part of the code or both signs A & B each.* b) *Sign area for freestanding sign is limited in total at 20 square feet - MSP required, as each sign is over 20 sq.ft.* c) *Drexel is a local street per Major Streets & Routes Map and to place a sign facing a local street in scenic requires a MSP * d) *Sign facing Drexel is also over 20 square feet in sign area and will be added to the MSP* 2) NEC / OLC: A) Note that "power to signs provided by others via separate electrical permit" B) Note where the dedicated circuit will be for the sign (i.e. inside office, etc.) 3) IBC: A) Provide construction sheet for sign structures to identify the materials used on the sign (i.e. masonry, stucco, etc. - if you can, provide color elevation view for the MSP review (construction details may be on the plan view sheet, but it's really small… looks like arrows pointing from wording?) B) ID size, type and number of anchors from cabinet mount to sign structure Applications were sent to contractor for the master sign program.
