It seems rather large for that space. Reducing the width would be a good idea. The sign should be attached through the mortar rather than the brick. I will like to see a scaled detail showing: How it will be mounted through the mortar The width of the mortar Width of the adobe brick Size of the screws to be used to understand that it will fit into the existing mortar joint without impacting the adobe brick If you have any questions, please let me know.
