Entered by HTHRALL1 - Re: monument sign review
For: AZ Blood & Cancer Specialists
AT: 3700 E Fort Lowell Rd
Sign permit: T21OT00105
Reviewer: H. Thrall
Date: 2/10/21
Codes: Unified Development Code(UDC) 7A Sign Standards, National Electrical Code (NEC), Tucson-Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code, International Building Code(2018)
1. UDC 7A Sign Standards:
A) Provide property line boundary verified - as sign location appears to actually be in the right of way and near a gas line (see paving plan and look at street light and bus stop. City map is not completely accurate with the property line marks on the aerial.
B) A survey or right of way plan may further assist with sign location.
C) Take sign height from top of street curb - since the setback will likely fall within 30'of curb- and height is actually to top of the panel cabinet, not entire structure (but leave structure dimension on plan, thankyou.)
D) Enlarge print on the plans to a minimum size of 12 point
2. NEC / OLC: sign is noted as non-illuminated.
3. Structural /IBC:
A) Engineering approved, thank you.
B) Provide detail on how each of the cabinets are connected to pole and points of connection (i.e. saddle/bolts and bolt sizes)
C) Provide information on the materials used to build the sign (i.e. plastics, metal and type)
Further review comments may be forthcoming, depending upon responses provided.
