Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire and may be electrical. Arrvived and all the units were still on site and has insulation in the attic area that he smoking. The fire was in the attic space above the bathroom and the NE bedroom. A new exhaust fan was installed in the bathroom and has flex lines in the area and burning on the wood ceiling joists in several areas. The drywall and the plaster was pulled down in the bathroom and the N.E. bedroom. The insulation was pulled down and soaked on the floor. The electrical was removed at the meter and will require a reconnect to be turned back on. The gas was turned off at the meter and will be turned back on when the electrical is turned back on with out permit if no changes are made in the gas lines. Did meet with the owner on condemning the house and the electrical will need to check due to the second fire in less than 6-months and in the same area. The owner signed the paperwork and will be securing the house. The daughters were living in the house and will be moving to the parents house. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the front window by the front door. The owner signed the paperwork and did lock the house. Did go over that an electrician will need to check the wiring due to this is the second fire in the dame area. RV. |
