08/27/2021 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved I VISITED SITE, KNOCKED ON DOOR OF THE UNIT #208, A PEST CONTROL PERSON IN THE PROCESS OF SPRAYING THE UNIT ANSWERED THE DOOR AND IDENTIFIED HIMSELF, HE STATED THE OCCUPANTS LEFT THE UNIT WHILE HE WAS SPRAYING AND HE MAY BE ANOTHER 20- 30 MINUTES. I ELT A CARD INSIDE THE UNIT, IT WAS HOT INSIDE BUT I DID NOTICE THE OCCUPANTS HAD 2 FANS INSIDE THE UNIT. I THEN WENT TO THE MANAGERS OFFICE AND FOUND NOBODY THERE, I DID CONTACT THE MANAGER WHO STATED HE WAS ON SITE AND WOULD BE TO THE OFFICE SHORTLY AND HE DID CORRECT ME THAT HE WAS JUST THE RESPONSIBLE PERSON TO IDENTIFY SITUATIONS AND THEN PASS THE INFO OVER TO REGIONAL MANAGER AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. WHEN I MET WITH THE MANAGER HE INFORMED ME THAT THE COMPLEX WAS ON A CHILLER SYSTEM AND THAT A A/C COMPLANY HAS BEEN OUT SEVERAL TIMES TO CHECK THE SYSTEM, AND WHEN THE SYSTEM GOES DOWN THE ENTIRE COMPLEX GOES DOWN AND THIS UNIT IS THE ONLY UNIT COMPLAINING, ISSUES STARTED APPROX 3 MONTHS AGO . I SPOKE WITH PROPERTY MANAGER FT LOWELL REALTY WHO CHECKED RECORDS AND STATED THEY HAVE NO AUGUST REPORTS OR WORK ORDERS FOR COOLING PROBLEMS. BECAUSE THE OCCUPANTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE I WENT DIRECTLY TO FT LOWELL MANAGEMENT BECAUSE I WAS UNABLE TO REACH THEM MY SELF AT SEVERAL CONTACT NUMGERS I HAD BEEN GIVEN. I MET WITH MAINTANENCE SUPERVISOR MARIA AND ASKED WHAT THEY WILL DO TO HELP THESE PEOPLE OUT. MARIA STATED THAT THEY WOULD GET A PORTABLE COOLING UNIT AND HAVE THAT TAKEN OVER TO THE OCCUPANTS, MONDAY WOULD HAVE TRON HEATING AND COOLING BY TO CHECK THE CHILLER UNIT AND IT SOUNDS LIKE THE COILS ARE FROZEN OVER. I ASKED THAT THE COOLING PERSON EXPLAIN TO THE OCCUPANTS HOW TO RUN THE CHILLER UNIT SO THAT THEY DO NOT CONTINUE HAVING THIS PROBLEM AS IT SOUNDS LIKE THE SAME ISSUES AS IN THE PAST COMPLAINTS. I WILL FOLLOW UP ON TUESDAY TO DETERMINE IF ISSUES WERE ABATED. AFTER LEAVING FT LOWEL REALTY I DID MAKE CONTACT WITH THE OCCUPANT AND INFORMED HER THAT FT LOWELL REALTY WAS SENDING OVER A PORTABLE COOLING UNIT AND WOULD SEND OVER ON MONDAY TRON HEATING AND COOLING TO ISPECT THE UNIT AND MAKE NECESSARY REPAIRS. I ASKED OCCUPANT TO MAKE SURE SHE WAS HOME FOR FT LOWELL TO SET PORTABLE UNIT.
