AT THE SECOND LEVEL OF THE APARTMENT UNIT THE FLOOR WAS SATURATED WITH WATER, THE BATHROOM SHOWER DRY WALL HAS COLLAPSED. THE PROPERTY MAINTENANCE WAS ACTIVELY WORKING ON THE LEAK; INSPECTOR ORDER THE MAINTENANCE TO TURN OFF THE ACTIVE POWER TO THE UNIT WHILE HE WAS STANDING IN THE WATER THAT WAS MAKING ITS WAY INTO ENERGIZE LIGHTING. HE TURNED THE POWER OFF AT THE DOWNSTREAM PANEL IN THE STAIRWAY, THIS UNIT IS MASTER METERED WITH OTHER OCCUPIED UNITS. UNIT WAS POSTED UNFIT TO OCCUPY, AND MANAGEMENT IS BEING REQUIRED TO HIRE A LICENSE ELECTRICIAN TO EVALUATE ALL COMPROMISED ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS PRIOR TO BE DEEMED FIT TO OCCUPY. AN INVOICE WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE PROVIDED BY THE CONTRACTOR THAT IT'S BEEN DEEMED SAFE TO ENERGIZE. THE UNIT MUST ALSO MEET ALL MINIMUM HOUSING STANDARDS PRIOR TO BEING OCCUPIED. |
