Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a apartment fire. Arrived and the units were still on site and were checking for hot spots and starting to clean the unit of the insulation on the floor. The fire investigators were on site checking for cause. The fire was in the hallway where a air handler was replaced today with new and was like for like. The fire burned the wood studs by the door way to the bedroom and was to an open attic and had electrical wiring in the area that was damaged. The drywall was pulled down to check for fire in the walls and in the attic. The electrical was removed at the meter and has no gas. The condensor was also replaced with new on the exterior of the unit. The tenants have a place to stay and will not be assisted by Redcross. The maintenance man showed to the site and will be securing the unit once the unit has been extracted of the water on the floor. No other damage from the fire was done to the bedrooms or the bathroom. The other units on the bottom will be check when the company comes to extract if they have any water or moisture. RV. |
