08/19/2021 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Communication called that T.F.D. on site with an apartment fire. Arrived and all the units were still on site and checking for hot spots. The fire investigators were on site checking for cause. The fire was contained to this unit only. The fire was in the bedroom on the west side. The windows were broken from the fire and the heat of the fire in the 2-bedrooms. The unit has heavy smoke damage through out. The electrical was removed at the meter due to the damage of the fire. The drywall was burned or pulled off the walls and ceiling to check for fire extension. The doors in the bedroom were burned. There was no gas to the unit and the water was left on. The heating and cooling unit will need to be checked due to was on during the fire. There is water on the flooring from fighting the fire. The window on the upper unit was cracked due to the heat of the fire in the west bedroom. The management was on site and the manager signed the paperwork and they will be securing the unit once the investigation is completed. Redcross was called for placement and the tenants have been called to make the needed arrangements. The electrical was removed to all the units on the building and each unit was gone through to have the electrical restored. Only unit without electrical was this unit involved with the fire. RV.
