07/29/2021 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved The supervisor Martin Romero called that T.F.D. was on site with a fire in the unit. Arrived and the fire was on an extension cord in the kitchen area. The tenant had a surge protector added to the outlet where an extension cord had a coffee pot and the plug burned and burned some of the items in the area. The extension cord was removed from the property and the coffee pot will be thrown away. The issue with the extension cord was that some of the outlets were not working in the unit and appears to be why the extension cords were being added to power other applainces. Did call the owner and he was going to look at the panel. It apprears that a fuse is burned out and not able to get to the panel due to the gates and the doors where the panel is located is locked and no one home. The tenant will remain in the unit and did let the tenant know that she needs to remove the extension cord. RV.
