Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the units all on site and checking for hot spots. Starting to clean up and leaving the scene. The fire investigators on site checking for cause of the fire. The fire was in a room added to the rear of the house on the southeast side of the house. The main house has no fire damage. The windows were broken by the fire or broken by T.F.D. to vent the room of smoke. The fire was contained to the room where the occupant was doing some art work with a propane torch. The electrical and gas was removed at the meters due to the fire damage. The room has indication of hoarding due to the amount of items in the room. The drywall ceiling was pulled down to check for fire in the rafters. The electrical boxes in the ceiling has been pulled down in area where the lighting has been pulled down or burned. The wood rafters are not burned but will need to be checked once the room is cleared out. All the windows have been boarded up with the 2-doors have also been boarded up. Had a AC window unit and that has been burned in the fire. No plumbing in the room of the fire. The owner gave permission to have the room secured due to not able to secure the room. The main house is being locked by the owner once the items are taken for the night. Called Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the room secured. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the front window of the main house and the door to the room that burned. The owner signed the paperwork on site. The Redcross was call for assistance for placement and was going to meet at the room where they are going to stay. RV. |
