08/11/2021 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | GOODMAN | Approved | Entered by GOODMAN - VISITED SITE, UPON ARRIVAL FOUND TWO PEOPLE WORKING ON A ROOF COVERING AT THE REAR OF A USED CAR BUSINESS. THE STRUCTURE WAS ALL STEEL AND METAL ROOF AND SIZE APPROXIMATELY 42 FT X 52 FT. FOUND POSTS HAD BEEN ANCHORED TO THE WALL WITH NO SETBACKS ON THE NORTH AND WEST WALLS. THERE WERE NO PERMITS FOR THE STRUCTURE. I EXPLAINED THAT PLANS WOULD BE REQUIRED TO SECURE A PERMIT FOR THE STRUCTURE, AND EXPLAINED SETBACKS. A CALL WAS MADE TO THE OWNER OF THE DEALERSHIP WHO ARRIVED SHORTLY AFTER. WE WENT OVER ISSUES WITH PLANS AND PERMITS AND EXPLAINED A STOP WORK ORDER WOULD BE PLACED ON THE STRUCTURE NEAR THE FRONT DOOR AND WORK MUST CEASE UNTIL THE PERMIT IS OBTAINED. A NOV WAS ISSUED FOR PERMITS REQUIRED AND SIGNED FOR BY THE OWNER OF THE BUSINESS. I ALSO EXPLAINED THAT THE CAR LIFT PRESENTLY ON THE PROPERTY WOULD NEED TO BE INCLUDED ON THE PERMIT. I THEN CONTACTED THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY AND LEFT A MESSAGE EXPLAINING THE ISSUES. |
