05/24/2021 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | VISITED SITE, TPD INFORMED ME THERE WAS A ACCIDENT AT THE N/E CORNER THE PARKING LOT CAR TRAVELED ON AND HIT THE N/E CORNER OF THE STRUCTURE, CAR HIT AT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FRONT AUTOMATIC SLIDING ENTRY DOOR. ABOVE THE ENTY DOOR WAS A STEEL FACADE SUPPORTED BY STEEL BEAMS AND POSTS AND AT THE BASE WHERE THE CAR HIT THE BUILDING THE STEEL WAS FACED WITH BRICK ONTHE OUTSIDE AND FURRED OUT WITH WOOD OR METAL FRAMING ON THE INSIDE. THERE WAS MINOR DAMAGE TO THE BRICK FACING ON THE OUTSIDE AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE DRYWALL CORNER BEAD AND RUBBER BASEBOARD. TPD'S CONCERN OR QUESTION WAS IF WALKING THRU THE DOOR OPENING WAS A HAZARD OR WAS IT OK TO USE THE DOORWAY. THERE WAS NO POSSIBILITY OF DANAGER OF THE STEEL FAILING. THE DOORS OPERATED JUST FINE, AS THEY SHOULD DURING NORMAL USE AND THERE WAS NOTHING INSIDE THAT WAS LOOSE OR COULD FALL ON THE OCCUPANTS USING THE ENTRY DOORS. THERE WAS NO NOV ISSUED BEING IT WAS A TUCSON OWNED PROPERTY(MLK BUILDING). |
