04/01/2021 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved The Building is vacant and secured and at this time the case will be closed. The owner is working with the insurance company and has called the architects and engineers and have been to the site to check the damage of the fire. The tenants of the office space have been in the store area to gather their items that are able to remove from the site. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
04/01/2021 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Did get a call in the afternoon that the barber shop was broken into. Did go to the site and the front is all secured and the units are being worked on getting the moisture out of the walls. The drywall has been removed. Did meet with the property manager for the property and has an issue with the rear gate having the panel removed to gain entry. They have been cutting the wire to enter the property. Did agree to place Tee posts on the panel and called Biff Baker Fence Company to the site to have the fencing resecured. They installed some tension bands on the existing fence panels to the existing corner post. Did add a Tee post on the panel near the gate and added wire to the Tee post and the Tee post for the hinge side of the gate. Did add wire on the Tee post added. At this time the fence is all secured through out the property. At this time will keep the case closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
03/24/2021 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Went to the site with inspector Gonzalez to look at the damage of the fire. The gate in the rear has the post pulled out and did place back into the support for the gate to be locking. Did check the front and the tenants of the barber shop were in the unit getting some items out of the building and has a person from the restoration company looking at the damage. Did have to place a lock on the gate in the front due to the chain was cut again. The openings are all secured at this time. RV.
03/20/2021 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Communication called that T.F.D. requested inspector. Arrived and the units were clearing the site. Still has hot spots and are not able to get to the areas to get water to the fire. They are going through the shift change and will check on bringing equipment to move piles around to get to the fires in different areas. The roof has collapased through out the store. The electrical has been removed at the pole and has no gas. The store will be a total lost. Did meet with the owner and they gave permission to have the property fenced and boarded up. The fire department is bringing an excavator to move the piles around to get the hotspots to put the fire out. Did call Biff Baker Fence Company to the site to have the area fenced off to block the area off. Did call Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the openings in the front blocked off. Will be sending the paperwork to the attorney on the owners request. Did post Do Not Enter on several areas of the front of the building. RV.
