Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the units were clearing. The fire investigator was just getting to the scene to check for cause. The fire was in the unit that was detached from 2-other units on the property. The unit was vacant and the property had plywood that was remove to enter the unit. There was heavy fire damage to the contents that were inside with heavy smoke through out. The electrical was removed and not sure if the unit had electrical due to has no panel for the unit. Did find a breaker that may have given power to the rear unit. The main electrical panels were on the middle unit on the west side. Had wood siding that was removed or loosened to get the fire with water. Alot of the drywall was pulled off and was not sure if pulled during the fire or already pulled off. Has burning on the rafters and sheathing on the roof, wall studs, has burned romex wirning, with no doors and lacking windows. The front and middle units have no fire damage. Had a cooper water line that was in the fire and the joints will need to be check is sealed due to the amount of heat on the water line. The water is off at this time. Was not able to locate the owner and called and not able to leave a message. Called Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the area secured. Found a broken window in the middle unit and that also was secured. Did the posting of the N.O.V. to Vacate on the front building. Did post the Do Not Enter on the units in several areas. Will do N.O.V. for the permits. RV. |
