03/18/2021 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved VISITED SITE, MET WITH THE OWNER WHO WAS SPANISH SPEAKING ONLY, HIS SON TRANSLATED. I DID FIND TWO SHEDS ON THE PROPERTY ONE WAS AT LEAST 6 FT AWAY FROM THE PROPERTY LINE, THE OTHER 2 FT AWAY. PRIOR TO INSPECTION I HAD CHECKED AERIAL VIEWS AND IN 2002 IT APPEARED THAT THE SHED WAS OFF THE PROPERTY LINE BY 6 FT AND THAT MAYBE THE FENCE LINE WAS ON THIS OWNERS PROPERTY OR THE 1116 PROPERTY EXTENDED TO THE WEST BY THE 1116 PROPERTY. I ASKED THE OWNERS AT 1122 IF THEY ARE HAVING ANY PROBLEMS FROM THE NEIGHBORS. THE OWNER STATED THAT THE NEW OWNER OF 3 YRS AT 1116 TO THE EAST WAS TRYING TO PUSH HIM INTO GOING HALF ON A NEW METAL/ CORIGATED METAL FENCE. THEY TOLD HIM THEY COULD NOT AFFORD A NEW FENCE AT THIS TIME. THE NEIGHOR PUSHED THEM BUT ENDED UP INSTALLING THE FENCE AT HIS OWN COST. THE OWNER OF 1122 STATED HE HAD INSTALLED THE OLD CHAIN LINK FENCE HIMSELF YEARS AGO ON HIS PROPERTY AND I BELIEVE THAT HE IS CORRECT FROM THE AERIAL VIEWS. NOW THE NEIGHBOR IS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SHED BEING TOO CLOSE TO THE FENCE, BUT THE NEW FENCE FOLLOWS THE OLD FENCE LINE WHICH MAY BE BUILT ON THE 1122 PROPERTY. THERE ARE NO PROPERTY PINS THAT I COULD FIND AND I FOUND THE OLDER, LARGER SHED HAS BEEN ON THE PROPERTY SINCE 2002 WHEN OLD CHAIN LINK FENCE WAS IN PLACE REMAINS ON SIGHT.
I WENT TO TALK TO THE NEIGHBOR AT 1116, KNOCKED ON THE DOOR BUT RECEIVED NO ANSWER. I DID LEAVE A BUSINESS CARD ON THE DOOR ASKING OWNER TO CONTACT BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL BACK. I HOPE TO SPEAK WITH THE NEIGHBOR TO RESOLVE THIS.
