| 01/07/2021 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | The supervisor Martin Romero called that T.F.D. on site with a mobile home fire and gas leak. Arrived and the units have left the site and the fire investigator was on site to show what happened. The ground level had a flame coming out of the ground and appears that ground rods were installed and punctured the gas line. They were installed a few days ago and they heard a pop than saw the flames. Did have a water heater in the area that was gas and had no door on the frame for the water heater room. The skirting was melted or burned on mobile home #8 and #9 and the flames were under #9 due to burning on the siding on the oppsite side where the flames were seen. The homes are being vacated at this time. Southwest gas was site and checking the entire mobile home park and doing a survey through out. Holes were being dug out to check on the cause of he leak and found a ground rod making a hole in the side of the gas line and not blue stake in the area. Southwest Gas was going to meet with the management when completing the survey and the pot holes completed and checking several areas where gas was detected in the ground. Served the N.O.V. to Vacate the units and the management signed the paperwork on site.The management will call if Southwest Gas clears the interior units for the level of smell in the mobile homes when done checking for levels of gas in the areas. All the other units have been cleared to go back into the units that were vacated and standing in the street area. RV. |
