Thrall Date: 06/18/2020 * Understood the following items are for referral to the Sign Design Review Committee (SDRC) process for code variations* A) allow a 4th pole sign for an overall premise (UDC 7A.10.2.C.) when a premise is limited to one B) allow a new pole sign to exceed the maximum height of 12' (at 15.354' tall) (UDC 7A.10.2.C) C) allow a new pole sign to exceed the maximum sign area for a pole sign category, by one square foot, for a total of 73 square feet (UDC 7A.10.2.C.) D) allow a new pole sign at a setback of 14.75', less than the 30' minimum setback for a pole sign from face of street curb to leading edge of sign The following are permit review comments: 1) Outdoor Lighting Code: A) specify location of timer for inspections 2) National Electrical Code NEC 600: A) provide note how power is obtained for the sign (i.e. "power to sign location provided under separate electrical permit provided by others") 3) Structural - International Building Code 2018 ((BC): A) should the proposal be approved by the SDRC review process, please note that engineered plans are required for the review of the size of this sign structure / adequate footer. 4) Sign Standards - Chapter 7A of the Unified Development Code: The site frontage noted permits the total number of freestanding signs (6) with inclusion of the requested sign. Understood the SDRC process is requested for code variations to the type of sign proposed (setback, height, sign area) and the ability to have a 4th pole sign at the site. All under 7A.10.2.C of the UDC. Applications to the SDRC process have been given to the applicant.
