Codes: Sign Standards of the Unified Development Code - 7A, Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), National Electrical Code (NEC 600), International Building Code (IBC),
1. NEC 600:
A. Provide notation dedicated circuit provided for sign
B. Provide notation where circuit panel is located (inspections)
C. Provide weep holes labeled on diagram
D. Clarify if logo draws different amperage
E. Call out shut off swtich location.
2. OLC
A. Acknowledged timer note, add "curfew of midnight or when business closes."
B. Note where timer located (inspections)
C. Acknowledged - per long standing policy and 2017 Building Official 2017 determination - clear faces allowed specifically for neon within internally illuminated signs (pan channel letters).
D. Provide note clarifying top an bottom of letter is solid material (light through face).
3. Structural:
A. Provide depth of pan channel letter (5" return?)
B. Call out angle structure - what material and show how mounted to building.
C. Identify size/type/length/number of bolts for attachment between sign and noted angle structure.
D. Note welds in shop only.
4. Sign Standards - sign area within code.
A. Clarify that angle structure is mounted within what distance of wall behind- or mounted to a wall? show wall on side diagram.
