Arrived and the units were still on site and the tenant has been pulled from the unit due to the condition of the unit. Did meet with the tenant and explained why Code Enforcement was on site and the tenant gave permission to enter the unit. While entering the unit was not able to open the door completely. The living room area was filled with clothing, boxes and storage up to approx. 2' high. There were roaches through out the unit and while walking into the unit the roaches were scattering all over the place. The walls and ceiling were filled with the roaches. There was food in boxes that also was filled with roaches and some of the package were filled with roaches. Was not able to enter the bedroom and the bathroom due to the roaches and the items on the floor and have to climb over to get to the areas. The daughter was called and was coming to the site to pick the mom up and take her home. The electrical was removed at the meter due to the condition of the unit. They will need a permit to have the electrical turned back on. The unit was posted with Do Not Enter on the front window and the tenant signed the paperwork on site and left the site. This unit should be emptied out for the treatment to be done. At this time there alot of small roaches from hatching. The unit will need to be fumigated and sprayed several times and the outter units will need to be treated also due to the roaches will go next door when the treatment is done. One daughter took the mother home and the other daughter locked the unit. Did go over on not being on site after dark and meeting with the friends on site. |
