The office called and T.P.D. on site with a car into building. Arrived and the unit was still on site and the vehicle was removed from the building. The vehicle is not driveable and was left on site. The vehicle hit the wood frame column on the west side of the front porch. The column covered a steel post that was supporting the wood beam for the porch. The steel post appears to not be damaged but was not able to see the steel post due to the plywood shearing was not able to move due to was wedged. Was able to see the structual metal studs that were pushed off the bottom plate. The wall to the business was also hit and did some damge to the interior of the business at the window area of a wainscot design on the interior of the building. Did call the property manage to the site and she did come to the site and check the damage. The business will remain opened and the property manager will place caution tape around the damaged area. The area will be looked tomorrow to move the plywood or cut the plywood to check the steel post holding the wood beam on the front porch. The property manager signed the paperwork on site and calling people on the damage to the property. Did go over that a permit is required for the need repairs to match existing. RV. |
