Date Description Inspector Results Comments
11/16/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Supervisor Martin Romero called that T.P.D. on site with a car into building. Arrived and the units were still on site. The tow truck was on site and was able to remove the vehicle from the building. The vehicle hit the southwest corner of the building and pushed the wood 2 x 6 studs with OSB shearing on the exterior of the wall into the building. Wood studs appear to be off the bottom plate and not broken or cracked. Not able to get a full view of the studs at this time due to the wall shearing will need to be pulled off or the drywall on the interior will need to be removed to check the studs. The interior had drywall with a backing wall of plywood and shelving panels added to the plywood for shelf brackets to be place for hanging items. The wall was bearing and the upper portion of the wall is still intact and bearing weight at this time. The owner has a company coming to the site in the morning to check the damage for repairs to be done and will check for added bracing if needed. The owner family member was on site and signed the paperwork on site. The owner had someone on site to have the area secured. The interior of the business was barricaded with caution tape to block the area off for the business to remain opened. Did meet with the management of the business to keep the area taped off to where no one goes in the area. The business was able to remain opened at this time. The area will be secured by the owner and already had the plywood on site. RV.
