CODE ENFORCEMENT UTILIZED A NON-CONTACT VOLTAGE TESTER AND HAS DISCOVERED THAT THE DOOR'S STRIKER PLATES AND JAMB IS ENERGIZED WITH AN UNSEEN ELECTRICAL CONDUCTOR. UPON FINDING THIS HAZARD THE CONCERNED OCCUPANT ALLOWED TO INSPECT THE ENTIRE UNIT FOR OTHER HAZARDS. THE BUILDING IS A TWO WIRE SYSTEM AND HAVE FOUND A 3 PRONG ELECTRICAL DEVICE SHOWING THERE IS AN OPEN GROUND. THE EVAPORATIVE COOLERS CORD IS NOT PROTECTED AND TRAVELS THROUGH THE VENT REGISTER TO THE OPERATING SWITCH. THE ABUTTING UNIT 12 WAS ALSO CONCERNED AND ALLOWED ACCESS TO INSPECT THE INTERIOR OF THE UNIT. UPON ENTRY THE INTERIOR ROOF'S RAFTERS ARE SAGGING AT THE LIVING ROOM, THE INTERIOR ROOF WOOD PANELS THAT CROSS OVER THE RAFTERS ARE ALSO SAGGING, AND WARPED THROUGHOUT UNIT 12. OTHER CONCERNED OCCUPANTS BEGAN TO EXPRESS CONCERNS WITH SIMILAR ISSUES AND ALL RESULTING THE PROPERTY'S ELECTRICAL BEING NON CODE COMPLAINT. UNIT 3 HAS PLUMBING ISSUES RESULTING OF THE SHOWER DRAIN BEING OBSTRUCTED AND OVERFLOWS INTO THE ABUTTING KITCHEN LEAVING DRY WALL ROT AND DAMAGE. ABOVE UNIT 3 THE EVAPORATIVE COOLER'S JUNCTION BOX IS MOUNTED TO ITS MECHANICAL/ DUCT WORK, UNIT 3 ELECTRICAL ALSO SHOWS AN OPEN GROUND, THE UNIT'S FOUNDATION IS SHOWING SIGNS OF SHIFTING AND SEPARATION. UNIT 14 ELECTRICAL SHOWS OPEN GROUND, THE BEDROOM'S WEIGHT BEARING WALL HAS SIGNS OF SEPARATION AND SHIFTING AT THE BLOCK'S GROUT JOINTS. THE KITCHEN'S INTERIOR ROOF IS SHOWING SIGNS OF SAGGING AND LOSS OF INTEGRITY. UNIT 6 INTERIOR ELECTRICAL PANEL IS SHARED WITH ABUTTING UNIT 7 AND HAS A WOOD FRAME AND DRYWALL ENCLOSURE THAT HAS EXPOSED ELECTRICAL PARTS THAT'S BUILT IN THE HALLWAY'S OVERHEAD SOFFIT. THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS: UNIT 6-7 ROOF DECKING AND ASSEMBLY IS SEVERELY DETERIORATED; 2008 AERIALS SHOW THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE OF THE BUILDING'S OPENING'S, DOOR AT THE SOUTH END OF THE BUILDING HAS BEEN ELIMINATED. THERE IS ALSO A WINDOW THAT HAS BEEN ELIMINATED PRIOR TO 2005 AT THIS SAME SOUTH WALL. UNIT 8-9-10 THE BUILDINGS HAS EXTERIOR SIGNS OF SHIFTING WITH CRACKS IN THE BRICK GROUT JOINT LINES THAT LEAD TO THE FOUNDATION. UNIT 11-12 THE BUILDINGS HAS EXTERIOR SIGNS OF SHIFTING WITH CRACKS IN THE BRICK GROUT JOINT LINES THAT LEAD TO THE FOUNDATION.
