| 08/30/2020 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the units were cleaning up and doing the overhaul. The fire investigators were not coming to the site due to on another fire. Not able to locate the owner and was able to leave a message. The tenants were going to be placed and Redcross is in route to the site to meet with the tenants. The fire was on the wood frame porch area on the east side of the house attached. There was romex wiring that has been added to different areas of the porch. The porch was approx. 14' x 60' and has a large amount of storage in the porch. Did have an area with tools and no sure if connected. The porch is a total lost and did burn into the house on the east side through the windows and doors. The areas were the kitchen and dinning room, the bathroom, and a bedroom. 2-vent holes were cut in the roof and were patched with plastic over the openings. Did have an above ground pool and that was being drained due to no pool cover and the gates are not secured at this time due to the fire. The tenants were to going to lock the house up and called Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the openings where the doors burned and the windows were broken due to the fire. | |

TFD ON SITE, TEP CUT POWER AT METER, SOUTHWEST GAS REMOVED GAS METER DUE TO FIRE DAMAGE, EASTSIDE ATTACHED PORCH TOTAL LOSS DUE TO FIRE DAMAGE. TWO INSPECTIONS HOLES THROUGH ROOF MADE BY TFD. INTERIOR SURFACES OF DWELLING HAS FIRE AND HEAVY SMOKE DAMAGE, WATER DAMAGE TO FLOOR FROM TFD, INSULATION ON FLOOR FROM ATTIC. ISSUED EMERGENCY ORDER TO VACATE AND AN NOV TO OBTAIN REQUIRED PERMITS TO REMOVE, REPLACE, PATCH AND REPAIR PER EXISTING, FIRE DAMAGED VENT HOLES, PERMITS ARE REQUIRED IF PLASTERED WALLS AND CEILINGS ARE REMOVED. SMOKE DETECTORS ARE REQUIRED IN ALL SLEEPING AREAS. INTERIOR INSPECTION IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO OCCUPYING DWELLING. CITY CONTRACTOR TO BOARD UP DWELLING. A CASE FOR ADDRESS 6009 E BEVERLY ST WAS OPENED DUE TO FIRE AND HEAT EXTENDING FROM THIS PROPERTY TO NEIGHBORING PROPERTY REFER TO CASE T20DV05997 FOR THOSE CASE NOTES. END REPORT. SB. |
