The supervisor Martin Romero called that T.F.D. on site with a building fire. Arrived and the units were still on site and were pushing water to the outside the unit to get out of the unit. Had a sprinkler head go off in unit #1302 in the kitchen area. Appears that the oven was left on and the heat of the oven set the sprinkler head off which is in the front of the oven on the ceiling. The management was on site and called a company for the extraction of the water and to replace the spfinkler head. There was no fire damage and only water damage. The sprinkler head went off on the third floor and went down to the first floor. Did have an elevator that did get some water on the floor and called the company to check the unit. Did have some board damaged by the moisture in the area of the elevator and were repaired and all were working. The unit has water coming down from the ceiling in the kitchen area, hallway, bedroom and the handler also in the same area of the kitchen. The flooring is soaked with water through out and has carpet in some of the areas. The smoke detectors were removed due to going off. The elecrical was removed at the main breaker by the meter. The tenant was being vacated from the unit and the manager signe the paperwork. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the unit number. RV. |
