06/18/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a building fire. Arrived and all the units were still on site and starting to clean up and were checking for hot spots. The fire was in a dryer in the laundry room on the east building in the middle on the first floor. The dryer was a gas dryer and the fire started in the rear of the unit. The heat did damage to the upper floor where the units had fiberglass tub and shower kits. 2-rooms on the second floor were damaged to the plumbing fixtures. Those2-rooms were posted with Do Not Enter on the front doors to the units. The bottome floor damage was contained to the laundry room. The was a gas heater that was hanging from the ceiling and that was knocked down and was not in service. The gas was removed at the meter and will need to check the gas lines in the laundry room before the gas can be turned back on with a permit approval. The electrical has been removed at the pole where the cut outs have been pulled down. Did talk to T.E.P. and was not able to get to a room where there may be a switch gear. A reconnect permit will be required once the repairs have been completed. Other issues may require to be addressed that are not part of the fire due to out date issues on the electrical at other places. The management was on site and signed the paperwork and was doing a placement for all the tenants on site. The Redcross was not called to the site due to the management was doing the placement. Southwest Gas had a supervisor come to the site to check the dryer involved in the fire and the gas lines sized to the dryers. RV.
