The owner of the property does not live in the unit and has a daughter and grand daughter living in the unit. T.F.D. was on site for a fire in the north bedroom. The fire was a scent candle that fell on the ground and started a fire on a mini refrigerator and burned what was on top of the refrigerator. The fire burned the drywall in the corner walls and ceilings. Has heavy smoke damage to the room and some going into the other parts of the house. The breaker did trip for the room and has no outlet in the area but does have a ceiling fan on a sloped ceiling. The fire was contained to the corner of the room and has some holes in the walls and ceiling in the area to check for fire in the rafters. The daughter of the owner was on site and signed the paperwork on site. Did call the owner and she is aware of the fire. The owner did come site after the unit was secured. Did the posting of Do Not Enter on the front door. RV. |
