The fire started on the exterior and burned into the house. A door with a window and a window were broken by the fire from the heat of the fire. The interior of the house did have smoke in the house when the doors were opened. A room that was like a work room for hobbies has some wiring that has heat damage or burned at the ceiling area. The interior of the house has no clear paths to doors and windows and the house needs to be cleaned. The walls have art work through out the interior of the house and some hanging from the ceilings. The electrical and the gas were removed at the meter due to the damage of the fire. The rear yard had some tall grass and weeds with some trash and debris and that did burn in the fire. Had a large scale wooden chair and that also had some burning on the chair. While checking the house, did find where the water is off due to lack of payment. The interior of the house has hoarding issues and the house will need to be checked for min. housing condition before the house is re-occupied. There was no smoke detectors in the house. The overhang near the rear of the house needs to replaced and some of the raftertails need to be checked due to have some charring on the ends. The fire damage is mainly near the rear bathroom and rear door to the south. The water heater was in the area and will need to be checked for fire damage. The owner signed the paperwork and will secure and will check this afternoon if secured. RV. |
