04/23/2020 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | VISITED THE SITE, I DROVE 36TH ST, FROM PARK AV TO KINO AND SOUTH ON KINO, OR THE AREA KNOWN AS U OF A TECH PARK. THE ENTIRE AREA SOUTH OF 36TH TO I-10 HAS STEADLY BEEN DEVELOPED OVER THE YEARS. THE AREA DIRECTLY SOUTH OF 36TH ST HAS BEEN, GRADED, WATERED, AND COMPACTED AS THE DIRT FROM THE CURB FOR APPROX 75 FT SOUTH IS VERY FIRM. THE REMAINING LAND TO MCDONALDS AND PLANET FITNESS HAS ALSO BEEN GRADED AND COMPACTED BUT HAS ROCK THRU OUT THE AREA AND NOW GRASS GROWING BACK IN.I FOUND NO DIRT BLOWING OFF THE EMPTY PARCEL THERE WAS NO WORK BEING DONE ON THE WEST PORTION OF THE PARCEL TODAY WEST OF MLK DR. THERE HAS BEEN ALOT OF WORK BEING DONE ADDING ELECTRICAL LINES, COMMUNICATION LINES AND WATER LINES OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS, WORK I HAVE VIEWED WHILE IN PASSING. TODAY GRANITE CONSTRUCTION WAS WORKING FURTHER TO THE EAST PORTION OF THE TECH PARK, THEY DID HAVE A WATER TRUCK ON SITE, AND THERE WAS A FENCED STOCK PILE OF DIRT ALONG THE EAST SIDE AS WELL BUT NOT AFFECTING THE WEST OR 1000 BLK. I SPOKE TO A NEIGHBOR AT 1102 E 36TH ST AND ASKED IF HE WAS GETTING A LOT OF DIRT BLOWING OFF THE EMPTY LOT. HE SAID HE DID NOT. I CHECKED THE WEATHER CHANNEL WHICH PREDICTED WIND GUSTS FOR UP TO 18 MPH. I SEE NO ISSUES OR VIOLATIONS IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA HOWEVER NORTH OF 39TH AND WEST OF PARK IS ANOTHER LARGE EMPTY LOT BEING DEVELOPED AND IT APPEARS THEY ARE DIGGING 6-8 INCH WATER LINES THRU THAT LOT. DIFFICULT TO TELL IF DIRT IS COMING OFF THAT LOT. THERE IS ALSO A WATER TRUCK ON SITE. THERE ARE NO VIOLATIONS AT THETIME OF INSPECTION. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE. |
