03/26/2020 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | VISITED SITE, MET WITH TFD CAPTAIN WHO INFORMED ME A SPRINGLER HEAD WENT OFF FROM THE OCCUPANT COOKING OVER THE STOVE CAUSING A FLASH. FLASH WAS PUT OUT BY A EXTINGUISHER BUT WATER FLOODED THE UNIT #3214. TFD SQEEGED MOST OF THE WATER OUT INTO THE HALL SUMPING WATER INTO THE UNIT BELOW AND IN THE HALL. UNIT #3113 ALSO HAD HEAVY WATER DAMAGE. ALARM WAS SET OFF AND OCCUPANTS CLEARED THEIR UNITS THE COMPLEX IS ASSISTED LIVING. AFTER WALKING THE UNITS C/E AND TFD CLEARED ALL BUT THREE UNITS AND ALLOWED EVERY ONE TO RE ENTER THEIR UNITS AFTER TFD TURNED THE ALARM SYSTEM BACK ON. MANAGER WAS CONTACTED AND UPON HER ARRIVAL INFORMED US THAT WATER EXTRACTION COMPANY WAS CONTACTED AND SHORTLY AFTER CONTACTED THE WATER SUPPRESSION COMPANY TO REPLACE SPRINKLER HEAD AND ADDITIONAL HEADS FOR THE COMPLEX. TFD CONTACTED ONE OF THEIR INSPECTORS WHO ARRIVED AND SET UP A FIRE WATCH, COMPLETED A NOV FOR CORRECTIONS TO BE MADE BETWEEN MANAGEMENT, AND TFD ALL CORRECTIONS WERE INPLACE AND BEING MET BY MANAGER.. WATER EXTRACTION ARRIVED ON SITE, TO REMOVE WATER FROM HALL AND UNITS. STARTING ON THE SECOND FLOOR AND A THIRD TRUCK ARRIVED TO START THE 1ST FLOOR. UNITED FIRE WAS CONTACTED AND IN ROUTE. C/E HAD NO FURTHER ISSUES. NOV WAS NOT REQUIRED. COMPLIANCE CLOSE CASE. |
