01/17/2020 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | The office called that the sewer is backed up. Arrived and talk to the tenants and no one has a backed up sewer. Also check 644 and 638 E. 4th St and no one is saying that the sewer is backed up. Did find a clean out in the middle of the properties and was able to remove the cap. There was water in the pipe and did have someone flush the toilet and run the sink and the water went up and up and down. Did find other clean outs and they were also filled with water and solids. Did call the owner and she was not aware of a backed up sewer. She did call a company to come to the site to have the sewer line cleared. The owner called Mr. Rooter and they came to the site to have the sewer line cleared. They had trouble with the clearing of the line. They did have to get a camera to look into the line and get other help. They did check where the stopage and the area is by a tree. They did have to go to another clean out to finally get through. The blockage was roots. The line is cleared and all the clean outs don't have water in the clean outs at this time. RV. |
