07/09/2019 TRSP - ROW - Recurring Re-inspection required TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION - On jobsite today and noticed the contractor installed a sono tube to full depth of the excavtion. I informed him that that was not the correct way to do the foundation. He agreed but said James from DEIH said that this is the way he wanted it done. I told him to do it the correct way and i will inform my chain of command. I asked Adon Gomez to come out and verify my decision, and Adon agreed. I also informed David Stiffey because I new this was going to be a issue, he also agreed with my desion but said he would talk with Lance Peterson. Lance said it would be ok to leave the sono tube in and backfill around the sono tube with slurry.
