Thrall Date: 7/31/2019 (2nd review) Status: PARTIAL APPROVAL 1) Understood the smaller wall signs indicating drive thru location are interior site signs, as are the traffic directional signs. As the application indicates these wall signs are illuminated, provide a separate sheet for that sign that can be added to the overall package - showing: A) 4400K max color temperature for internally illuminated signage B) Shut off switch location C) Volts, amps, circuits D) Breaker panel location for inspections E) Mounting notation - size / type / number of bolts/screws typ. F) Timer 2) Provide engineering for drive thru canopy structure, as the review of the structure takes place during sign review rather than building plan review. Thrall Date: 6/24/2019 1) Provide building frontages on copy of approved development or building plan (contractor emailed with this data 6/24/19) for verification. 2) Attached sign area is 1.25 x each building elevation with a secondary cap of 250 square feet per tenant. Sign area proposed on renderings will be within the sign area allowance. A) clarify size of the small "drive-thru" signs on each building elevation so as to be noted as interior site signs due to size. May require electrical permit. 3) Detached signage is all interior site signage and will be reviewed for electrical and structural only, as needed. No freestanding monument signage is included with this application. 4) NEC. 600 - A) specify total number of dedicated circuits on drawings for all signs B) specify location of power panel & dedicated circuits for inspections for mounted signs C) specify location of power panel & dedicated circuits for detached signs for inspections 5) Outdoor Lighting Code Ch 4 & 5 A) specify that ALL internally illuminated signs shall not exceed 4400k color temperature per 501.3 6) All drive -thru menu boards - specify if digital displays. A) If digital displays, specify shall dim to 200 NITS of light brightness from sunset to sunrise and note method of dimming (i.e. light sensor laster, photocell, etc.) 6) Structural - IBC 2018 A) specify if weld notes for menu boards refers to shop welds.
