Thrall Date: 4/15/19 NOTE: staff in receipt of updated permit application emailed in 4/11 1) Separate electrical permit required to run power to the sign (acknowledged your note "power by others"). Ensure developer aware to begin that electrical permit process. 2) Check plat with any easements in the area and either show on plans if any/ or note none exist within sign location. Note that a blue stake will be done as well. 3) Provide developer's letter that the PAD development has accepted the proposed sign design. 4) FYI - Inspector Brian Wiese went to site to examine any grade slopes, none on parcel that would affect sign height as shown on plans from base grade at 6'1". Thrall Date: 4/4/19 1) Monument sign permitted at parcel per underlying commercial zoning of this PAD-7 phased development. Commercial development to be phase 3, per approved plats. 2) Separate electrical permit required to run power to the sign. Once issued, clarify where power source is from and where panel is for inspection and future access. B) note the volts, amps, circuits C) note the sign is UL listed (otherwise a separate inspection required to open the sign for electrical examination, fees would apply) 3) Outdoor Lighting Code, Ch. 4 & 5: A) provide notation: color temperature for internally illuminated sign shall not exceed 4400K 4) Enlarge site plan sheet to read notes and dimensions. A) Note dimensions of sight visibility triangle (acknowledged sign outside of it) B) Enlarge setback dimensions noted of each leading edge of sign to face of curb (20' minimum for monuments) to each adjacent street. C) Check plat with any easements in the area. (Staff emailing for assistance.) D) change spelling of roadway to Camino Boleadoras 5) Provide letter of land ownership and or property management with permission to proceed to install sign on this parcel. 6) Please work with land developer to obtain written permission of PAD-7 zone La Estancia design review board to adopt sign design (may have already met to approve). Provide document. 7) Plan shows height at base of sign. Clarify height as installed from grade within a 5' difference around sign. Take the average of the 4 directions of grade at each side of the sign -and ensure sign height does not exceed 10' overall from that average point. Provide side diagram - check for slopes at site. 8) Revise sign permit application to update to address of 6930 E Camino Boleadoras. (SW corner of Kolb and Camino Boleadoras) 9) Alert staff when sign location is marked for a setback/grade check. 10) further review comments may be forthcoming, depending upon responses provided.
