Communication called that T.P.D. on site with a car into the building. Arrived and the units still on site. The vehicle has been removed from the property. The vehicle hit the north side of the main entrance at the bottom of a 6' x 8' window frame that was raised from the ground level. The wall was a metal frame wall that is not bearing. The exterior wall has a metal frame with backer board and tile to cover the exterior of the store. The interior has drywall on structual metal studs that is seperated from the exterior framing. The area that has been damaged from the interior is blocked off from the public access due to is behind the main counter to check out of the store. The business will remain opened. The management did call the management company and was not able to get an ETA on securing the opening and gave permission to call the City of Tucson to have the area secured with plywood. The manager was called to the site and she signed the paperwork. Called Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the opening secured. Did have the manager check the exterior securement and she was happy with the coverage and will not be securing the interior to prevent entry into the store. No postings due to the store will remain opened and the manager has the paperwork. While talking to the manger, did find out that Larsen and Baker are the management for the property and called. Did make contact with the answering service and left a message. RV. |
