CODE ENFORCEMENT EXPLAINED THE NUISANCE FROM THE PROPERTY IS AFFECTING THE COMMUNITY. MR. CANO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ONGOING ISSUES, HE TRIES HIS BEST TO KEEP UP WITH THE DEBRIS, GRAFFITI AND REMOVING TRESPASSERS. CODE ENFORCEMENT ADVISED THE HEARING ON 11/17/20 AT 830 WITH THE CITY'S INTENT TO OBTAIN COURT ORDER TO DEMOLISH THE VACANT AND NEGLECTED BUILDING. HE STATED HE WILL PASS ON THE INFORMATION HE WAS ALSO INFORMED OF THE ONGOING REPORTS OF PEOPLE ENTERING AND EXITING THE BUILDING TO INCLUDE BEING ON THE ROOF TOP. HE HAD ONLY ONE KEY TO SUITE TO THE FORMAL MAYA FASHION WHERE HE OPENED THE FRONT DOOR AT THE REAR OF THE SUITE WE FOUND THE CEILING DRY WALL DAMAGED WITH A LADDER UNDERNEATH IT. ALSO MATTRESS AND OTHER PERSONAL ITEMS AS EVIDENCE THAT SOMEONE HAD BEEN OCCUPYING THE STRUCTURE. THE BUILDING IS SECURED WITHOUT SIGNS OF ENTRY POINTS, CODE ENFORCEMENT ALONG WITH MR. CANO INSPECTED THE ROOF TOP TO ENSURE ITS SEALED TO PREVENT HUMAN ENTRY, WHICH WAS CONFIRMED IT WAS. CITING INSPECTOR ARRIVED ON SITE TO ESTABLISH A LINE OF COMMUNICATION AND EXCHANGED THEIR CONTACT INFORMATION. AFTER MR. CANO LEFT THE PROPERTY, CODE ENFORCEMENT DISCOVERED ENERGIZED HEAT DAMAGED CONDUIT, NO PERMITS ON FILE SHOWING ITS BEEN REPLACED AND INSPECTED FOR SAFE ENERGIZING. T.E.P. HAS BEEN CONTACTED TO DISCONNECT POWER TO PREVENT FURTHER DAMAGE OR INJURY. ANOTHER OWNER REPRESENTATIVE HAD ARRIVED ON SITE MR. KASTEL EXPRESSED ONGOING EFFORTS TO KEEP TRESPASSERS FROM BEING ON PROPERTY AND KEEPING AREA CLEAN. MR. KASTEL VIEW THE HEAT DAMAGE CONDUIT AND AGREED THAT IT NEEDS TO BE DE-ENERGIZED AND REPAIRED UNDER PERMIT BEFORE ENERGIZING. MR. KASTEL STATED HE WILL RELY INFORMATION AND COURT HEARING TO PROPERTY OWNER. WHILE WAITING FOR T.E.P. TO DISCONNECT PROPERTY MANAGER CALLED STATING THE CONDUCTORS ARE NOT DAMAGED AND HAS BEEN REPAIRED BY A LICENSE CONTRACTOR, CODE ENFORCEMENT EXPLAINED WITHOUT PERMITS ON FILE IT IS UNABLE TO BE DETERMINED THAT IT'S SAFE TO KEEP ENERGIZED, PROPERTY MANAGER STATED SHE WILL HAVE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR CONTACT ME. MR. KENNEDY FROM J.K. ELECTRIC REQUESTED PHOTOS OF THE HEAT DAMAGED CONDUIT, ONCE PHOTOS WERE SENT VIA TEXT HE STATED HE IS AWARE OF THE LOCATION OF CONCERN AND WILL REPLACE WITH PROPER PERMITS. POSTED NOTICE OF VIOLATION WITH CHAPTER 16 SEC 16-63 AND CHAPTER 16 SEC 16-11C1 FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS IN NEED TO BE REPAIRED UNDER PERMIT BEFORE ENERGIZING AT THE REAR NEAR DAMAGED CONDUCTORS ALONG WITH DO NOT ENTER UNSAFE TO OCCUPY PLACARD AT THE REAR. T.E.P. DISCONNECTED POWER TO AFFECTED CONDUCTORS AND ADDED A CLEARANCE TO PREVENT ENERGIZING PRIOR REPAIR MADE WITH PERMITS.
