04/24/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Had to place a peice of a metal door from the electrical panel ofer a door opening where the door frame has been removed. Did secure the opening and all the other openings are secured. RV.
04/23/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved The demo has started with the canopy being removed and laying on the ground. Has 2-loaders on rubber tires and 1-escavator on tracks with 2-dump trailers. The canopy will ber removed from the property and the area will be for staging. Did take pictures and were sent to the supervisor Martin Romero. RV.
03/27/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Received a call from the supervisor Martin Romero that the Director called that the fence was opened. Did go to the site and walked the perimeter and all was secured on the outer fence. Did check the fence on the building area and that also was all secured. Was able to check the building and all the openings were secured. The posting of Do Not Enter were still on the openings in several areas. Did call the supervisor to let him know that the area was secured at this time. Did let the supervisor know that the fence near the Benson hWY did have 3-fence panel taken from the property but have since been replaced. Did let the supervisor know that the rep. from Speedway was called and he called to have the fence re-secured. At this time the property is secured
03/26/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Went to the property to check the site and take pictures for the citation to be issued. The citation was issues long form with inspector Morales. RV.
03/17/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Was diving by the property and found where the fence panels are being removed from the property. Did call Tony from Speedway and let him know that the fence was not opened but missing panels that were removed from the property. Tony was going to call the fence company to have the property checked and re-secured the opening where the fence panels were removed from the property. Did go over that the date is changing on the demo due to not settled on the agreement of the value losing the property due to the demo. They are talking another month. Will let the management know on the change. RV.
02/06/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Open the doors to let T.P.D. into the structure for pictures. Did find a door where the chain was cut and changed the chain and put the lock back on. The permit has been issued and waiting for the demo to start. RV.
01/15/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Talk to Tony from Speedway and had the testing of the lead and the asbestos done on January 9, 2020 and waiting for the 10days to past to get the results. Will be checking on January 23, 2020 on the results and the contractor will be hopefully getting the permit at that time. They will be using Kinne demolition and Earthmoving to have the work done on the demo. Will be checking on the 23rd of January for the progress. RV.
11/21/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Received the N.O.V. that got recorded at the City Clerks office. Did the scanning into the case file. RV.
11/20/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Met with the rep. from Speedway to have the letter signed for the tresspassing letter to be filed with T.P.D. The rep. also with ES rep. Rolanda on assistance on the assessment for the lead paint and the abestos for a grant. Had a meeting with T.P.D. and ES on what can be done with the grant for the demo of the building. RV.
11/19/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved The rep. from Speedway has called that the demo is being ordered and just working on the paperwork with the owner on the demo. They are looking at some time in January to have the demo done due to getting the approvals from the owner and the Speedway office. The due date is 12-26-19 and the rep. was told to have all the info on the dates and the contractor if they will have a date to start the demo. RV.
10/07/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Went to the site to meet with T.F.D. to have the building checked for fire inspection on the condition of the building for N.O.V. T.P.D. was on site to also get more pictures of the burning areas with-in the building. The building was vacant and secured at this time. All the openings were checked. Opened the front door only for the inspection and than re-secured the front door. RV.
