Had a smell in the unit and was not sure where the smell came from. Had a vacant unit on the bottom of this unit-B that has work being done to the interior of the unit due to vacant. The counter tops were refinished with a new coating about 1:00 PM in the kitchen and the bathrooms. The smell was the lacquer in the sealer that was the smell. The fumes got into the AC unit in the unit and was circulating the air space in the interior of the unit. Did go to the bottom unit and was able to have the windows and the sliding glass door opened for a couple hours to air out the unit. Did go to the upper unit with the tenants and they were happy that the unit did not smell as bad. Did have the windows and the doors closed in the upper unit due to has the AC and started using he AC now. Once the tenants were explained on what happened they were OK with the smell in the unit at this time. The bottom unit will not have any more coating done to the unit after today. Will close the case at this time. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV. |
