The office called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the units were still on site checking for hot spots. The fire investigators were on site checking for cause. The fire started in the rear yard where the tenant has 2-wood frame storage rooms. Has a metal awning for shade in the rear yard next to the storage rooms. The tenant was fabing some metal product to sell at swap meets or to the public. The tenant has a welder, mig welder and cutting torches with a chop saw for cutting metal. The fire started in the rear yard area and burned into the storage room and burned the equipment in the rear yard. The storage rooms had electrical and some going into the metal awning that was damaged by the fire or the heat of the fire. The electric meter is going to be blanked due to the damage of the fire and has added electrical that has not been installed properly. A permit will be required for the need repairs or removal of the damaged wiring. Some was in conduit and that has been pulled down in several areas. The interior of the house needs to be cleaned and has no clear paths to the doors and windows. The tenant was advised on what needs to be done to stay in the house and cleaning the interior of the house. The rear yard needs to be cleaned up. The owner of the property signed the paperwork and the tenant will remain in the unit. RV. |
