09/14/2019 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | VISITED SITE, MET WITH TFD CAPTAIN WHO STATED THE ZIN BURGER RESTARAUNT HAD A CARROATED PIPE JUST BELOW A VALVE ON THE WATER SUPPRESION SYSTEM AND COULD NOT FIND THE CORRECT VALVE TO SHUT OFF THE WATER. UPON MY ARRIVAL THE WATER DEPT HAD BEEN CONTACTED TO RESPOND AND BY THAT TIME TFD HAD FOUND THE CORRECT SHUT OF VALVE. I FOUND A INSPECTION TAG FROM KAZAL FIRE SYSTEMS. MANAGER STATED THEY WITHIN MONTHS HAD INSPECTED THE SYSTEM. I ASKED MANAGER TO CONTACT BOTH KAZAL AND RAM PLUMBING WHO THEY USE FOR PLUMBING ISSUES AND DETERMINE WHO WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRING THE PIPE. >ABACADABRA WATER RESTORATION HAD BEEN CONTACTED TO REMOVE THE WATER AND DRY THE FLOOR. >TFD CONTACTED FIRE INVESTIGATOR TO SET UP A FIRE WATCH AND GO OVER PLAN WITH MANAGER. >KAZAL RESPONDED BACK AND INFORMED MANAGER THAT THEY WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY THIING WATER SUPPRESION RELATED AND WOULD SET TECHS OUT. >WORKERS FOR ZIN BURGER HAD ALREADY REMOVED MOST OF THE WATER AND WERE MOPPING UP THE AREAS. ABRACADABRA WAS IN ROUTE. >TFD CONFIRMED ONCE REPAIRS WERE CORRECTED THAT WATER COULD BE TURNED BACK ON AND TFD INSPECTOR WOULD BE SENT OUT TO CHECK THE REPAIRS AND OK THE TURN ON. >AT 9:35 AM I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE MANGER STATING KAZAL HAD REPLACED THE 18 INCH SECTION OF CORRODED WATER LINE. >ABRACADABRA HAD REMOVED WATER AND HAD FANS PLACE ON THE FLOOR. >TFD WAS ONSITE TO OK REPAIRS TO THE WATER LINE AND WATER SUPPRESION SYSTEM. >TUCSON WATER HAD BEEN CONTACTED TO RESTORE WATER TO THE VALVE THAT WAS SHUT OFF. NOV WAS NOT ISSUED AS WORK WAS IN PROGRESS AND ALL RESPONSIBLE PARTIES HAD BEEN CONTACTED AND REPAIRS IN PROGRESS. ZIN BURGER MANAGER HAD CONTACTED ME WHEN THEY WERE OK TO RESTORE WATER TO THE STRUCTURE AND WATER SUPPRESION SYSTEM. COMPLIANCE CLOSE CASE. |
