The office called that T.F.D. was on site with a mobile home fire. Arrived and all the units have cleared the site and the fire investigators were on site checking for cause. The fire was in the rear of the mobile home at the pedistal. The mobile home was not involved in the fire and the life line was damage on the exterior of the cord. The plug was OK. SWG was on site and pinned the meter due to the electrical was going to be removed. The levels of CO was high and called the construction crew to check the cause of the readings. Did suspected that the conductors were buried and were burning in the ground. The wood post for the pedistal was burned and the metal box for the life line was damaged by the fire and shorting out. The property is on a master meter and the meter to the spaces are private and T.E.P. was not able to remove the meter and was going to leave the open line at the meter due to need to find out why it opened up. Did dig up around the pedistal and the wires were touching and observed where the arcing was occuring. Did start to dig to find the lines in the ground and was approx. 2' deep. The owner of the mobile home was removed from the mobile home due to hoarding issues and lacking the electrical. Will check tomorrow. RV. |
