ON 7-15-2019 TEP FOUND THE SERVICE BEING ENERGIZED BY METAL BARS. THERE WAS ALSO A 50 AMP CIRCUIT BREAKER WHICH WAS PROVIDING POWER BY A NUMBER 10 CONDUCTOR TO THE UNIT 2 MAIN DISCONNECT. TEP DID REMOVE THE METAL BARS AND INSTALL A BLANK COVER. TODAY INSPECTION FOUND A 50 AMP CIRCUIT BREAKER WHICH WAS PROVIDING POWER BY A NUMBER 10 CONDUCTOR TO A JUNCTION BOX WITH ONE 20 AMP DUPLEX RECEPTACLE AND ONE 30 AMP RECEPTACLE. THERE ALSO A 30 AMP CIRCUIT BREAKER WHICH HAS A NUMBER 12 CONDUCTOR WHICH FEEDS A JUNCTION BOX WHICH IS SHARED WITH MAIN DISCONNECT UNIT 2. THE OVERCURRENT PROTECTION EXCEEDS THE AMPACITY OF THE CONDUCTORS UNAPPROVED WIRING METHODS AND PREVIOUS TAMPERING IDENTIFIED BY TEP ARE HAZARDS. THE POWER WAS ORDER TO BE DISCONNECTED AND THE UNIT WAS CONDEMNED UNFIT TO OCCUPY. PERMITS ARE REQUIRED FOR REPAIRS. DAY TIME ACCESS ONLY FOR REMOVAL OF PERSONNEL ITEMS. OWNER WAS ADVISED IF THIS ORDER IS VIOLATED THEN BOARDING THE ENTIRE BUILDING WILL BE ORDERED. |
