THERE WERE TWO PONTS OF ENTRY TO THE FRONT OF THE STRUCTURE, ONE ALONG N STONE AVE AND THE OTHER ON EAST ADAMS ST. FIRE STARTED AT THE FRONT DOOR ON EAST ADAMS ST. MY FINDINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS: >WHILE INSPECTING THE BUILDING INSIDE I FOUND A SET OF APPROVED PRINTS, FOUND JEREMY THE HANDY MAN AS THE APPLICANT, JULIA ANAYA , AND AFTER CALLING RECEIVED A CONTACT FOR JIM SHERRY. OWNER WAS ON THE PLANS AS SK LAND COMPANY IN NEW YORK. >AFTER RESEARCHING AND SPEAKING WITH JULIA ANAYA I WAS ABLE TO DETERMINE OWNER AND RESPONSIBLE PARTY. > FIRE WAS STARTED AT FRONT DOOR ALONG EAS ADAMS ST, FIRE BURNED THE DOOR AND THE WOOD FLOORING JUST INSIDE THE DOOR AREA. >FIRE FROM THE FLOORING BURNED THE FLOOR JOISTS, 2 JOIST WERE BURNED COMPLETELY THRU AND JOISTS NO LONGER BEARING ON THE ORIGINAL CONCRETE FOOTINGS. >HOUSE WAS DBL BRICK WITH STUCCO OVER THE BRICK, THE FLOOR JOISTS SAT ON THE FOOTING SURROUNDED BY THE DBL BRICK. > A SECOND AREA ALSO CAUGHT FIRE INSIDE WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY A LIVINGROOM AREA. WALLS ARE ORIGINALLY A FULL 2X4 STUD WITH PLASTER LATHE OVER THE 2X4 STUD AND PLASTER OVER THE LATHE. >THIS PARTICULAR WALL HAD 1X12 ADHERED OVER THE PLASTER. IN THE LIVING ROOM A SECTION OF WOOD FLOOR BURNED STARTING THE 1X12 DESIGN ON THE WALL ON FIRE AND THE BOTTOM PLATE, FIRE DAMAGED. THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE BURNED INSIDE THE WALL. >TEP ARRIVED ON SITE AND BOOTED THE METER PRIOR TO MY ARRIVAL. TFD ASKED THE METER BE BOOTED. > S/ W GAS WAS ON SITE BUT FOUND THERE HAD BEEN NO GAS TO THE STRUCTURE FOR SOME TIME, RAN A LINE TEST AND LINE TEST CHECKED OUT OK. >INTERIOR KITCHEN AREA HAD BEEN REMOVED PER PLAN, THERE WERE NO APPLIANCE OR CABINETS. AFTER MEETING WITH THE OCCUPANT, OWNER OF THE PET STORE. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT A TPD OFFICER WOULD ARRIVE TO START A INVESTIGATION. AFTER HIS ARRIVAL A TPD FIRE INVESTIGATOR ARRIVED, A SEARCH WARRANT WAS ISSUED, AND CRIME SCENE CONTACTED TO COME OUT AND TAKE PICTURES. WHEN C/E INSPECTOR THOUGHT THAT FIRE INVESTIGATORS WERE COMPLETE, C/E CONTACTED BOARD TO SECURE THE FRONT DOOR. TPD INVESTIGATOR THEN INSTRUCTED ME THAT MORE EVIDENCE WAS FOUND AND BELONGINGS FOR THE PET STORE MISSING. INVESTIGATORS INFORMED C/E THEY WOULD NEED EVEN MORE TIME. WHEN COMPLETED BOARD UP COMPLETED SECURING THE STRUCTURE. NOV WAS ISSUED TO THE OCCUPANT FOR EMERGENCY VACATE DUE TO NO POWER. IT WAS EXPLAINED TO THE OCCUPANT- OWNER OF THE NEW PET STORE THAT PERMIT FOR REPAIRS TO THE FIRE DAMAGE COULD PROBABLY BE COMPLETED UNDER EXISTING OPENED PERMIT T19CMO2222. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE. |
