FOUND PEOPLE TAMPERING WITH SMOKE SHOPS ELECTRIC BOX, NO POWER DUE TO NON PAYMENT FOUND PERSONS LIVING IN GARAGE AND SMOKE SHOP. OKAY PER SUPER MROMERO, DUE TO ACTIVITY AT PROPERTY, INSPECTOR HAD TEP CUT ALL POWER TO THE SMOKE SHOP AT THE POLE AND PULL ALL METERS FROM SMOKE SHOP AND DUPLEXES. POSTED SMOKE SHOP AND REPOSTED GARAGE WITH DO NOT OCCUPY POSTINGS. BOARDED AND PINNED ALL OPENINGS TO COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS AND HAD FENCE PANEL TO PREVENT ENTRY WAY TO REAR OF DUPLEX PORTION OF PROPERTY WHERE HOMELESS CAMP WAS FOUND.

08/01/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved ON SITE WITH INSPECTOR RVIDAL TO CHECK SUB PANEL IN AUTO STORAGE BUILDING. RVIDAL FOUND TWO LIVE WIRES IN THE SUB PANEL, RVIDAL CHECKED THE SMOKE SHOPS MAIN SERVICE PANEL AND LOCATED THE BREAKERS THAT WERE FEEDING THE SUB PANEL. THOSE BREAKERS WERE TURNED OFF AND WIRES REMOVED. ALL POWER HAS BEEN SHUT OFF TO AUTO STORAGE BUILDING. WHILE ON SITE, JOHN THE OWNER OF THE AUTO BUSINESS WAS FOUND IN THE RV TRYING TO GET IT STARTED TO REMOVE FROM THE PROPERTY. IF HE DOES NOT REMOVE RV FROM THE PROPERTY INSPECTOR IS TO ISSUE ANOTHER CITATION FOR THE RV PER SUPERVISION.
08/01/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Was called to the site to have the electrical remove to the unit next to the shop area. The panel that was in the interior of the unit is a sub-panel from the smoke shop area that is in the rear of the building. Did find a breaker that controled the panel and the wires were removed from the breaker. Once the wires were removed, there was no electrical going to the unit. The door was locked. RV.
07/29/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved ON SITE; DUE TO HAZARDOUS WIRING IDENTIFIED BY WAY OF PHOTOS TAKEN DURING FOLLOW UP INSPECTION ON 7/26/2019, INSPECTOR CALLED TEP AND FOUND THAT AUTO REPAIR SHOP HAD BEEN WITHOUT POWER SINCE 05/2019, BUT WAS STEALING POWER FROM MAIN SERVICE DROP BYPASSING METER, IN A HAZARDOUS MANNER. TEP CUT POWER AT THE POLE, TPD ON SITE TO ASSIST IN CLEARING THE BUILDING OF PERSON FOUND INSIDE AUTO STORAGE AREA. CE FOUND LIVE SUB PANEL IN THE AUTO REPAIR SHOP STORAGE BUILDING, THE PANEL WAS BEING FED BY MAIN SERVICE PANEL FROM THE SMOKE SHOP. CE ALSO FOUND UNAPPROVED AND ILLEGAL WIRING IN SUB PANEL FOR POSSIBLE LIGHTING AND OTHER POWER SOURCES. A 24 HOUR NOV WAS ISSUED TO THE PROPERTY OWNER TO HAVE A LICENSE CONTRACTOR DISCONNECT THE SUB PANEL FROM THE SMOKE SHOP. WITH PROPERTY OWNERS AUTHORIZATION, CE HAD ENTRY DOOR WAY FROM SMOKE SHOP LEADING INTO AUTO REPAIR SHOP BOARDED AS WELL AS AN OPEN COOLER SHAFT LOCATED ON TOP OF THE ROOF WHERE PEOPLE WERE BREACHING THE BUILDING. AUTO REPAIR BUSINESS OWNER LOCKED UP HIS SHOP AND LEFT THE PROPERTY PRIOR TO ARRIVAL OF TPD. OWNER ASKED THAT THE SOUTHEAST GATE BE ACCESSED BY CUTTING THE LOCKS LEFT BY PREVIOUS TENANT SO THAT SHE MAY HAVE THE RV IN THE REAR OF AUTO REPAIR SHOP TOWED AWAY. INSPECTOR CONFIRMED ALL ENTRY WAYS INTO THE AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND STORAGE ROOM HAD BEEN SECURED, FRONT DOOR TO AUTO SHOP STORAGE WAS SECURED BY OWNER. WILL FOLLOW UP ON 7/30/19.
07/29/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Called to the site to remove a lock and chain from a gate to the rear of the property with T.P.D. The lock was remove and was able to check the RV and no one inside the RV. Did check the securement of the property from the rear and was all secured. The electrical has been removed at the pole. Did go and check the interior of a unit next to the shop area and that area still had power going to the panel inside the unit. The breaker was turned off and leaving no power to the unit. RV.

07/15/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved ON SITE; WITH PROPERTY MANAGER GEORGIA WHO IS STILL MAKING PROGRESS. INSPECTOR BERMUDEZ WALKED THE PROPERTY WITH HER AS SHE MADE A LIST OF WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO FINISH ABATEMENT. DUE TO AMOUNT OF WORK THAT HAS BEEN DONE WILL ALLOW A 10 DAY EXTENSION. GEORGIA ALSO INDICATED AS A SIDE NOTE THAT THERE ARE PLANS FOR THE RV TO BE REMOVED FROM THE PROPERTY.
REMAINING VIOLATIONS ARE DUE ON 7/26/2019, LIST IS AS FOLLOWS;
1. FINISH REMOVING ALL REFUSE AND DEBRIS FROM THE PROPERTY.
2. REMOVE JMV SUV FROM DRIVEWAY OF AUTO REPAIR SERVICE.
3. COVER JMV PICK UP LOCATED AT 3414 WITH A CAR COVER AS IT IS UNDER THE CARPORT AS PERMITTED BY CITY CODE.
4. PROPERLY SCREEN OUTDOOR STORAGE IN REAR AND SIDE YARDS TO CODE.
VIOLATIONS TO BE CORRECTED BY 8/5/19
1. REMOVING MAKE SHIFT CARPORT THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE SMOKE SHOP BUILDING.
INSPECTOR INITIATED THE PROCESS FOR REMOVING SHOPPING CARTS WITH CSR PCAMACHO. ALSO HAD CSR OPEN TWO NEW CASES FOR THE NEW ISSUES REPORTED TO INCLUDE NO C OF O FOR SMOKE SHOP. REFUSE AND DEBRIS ON THE PROPERTY AS WELL AS WEEDS AND GRASS IN THE ALLEY LOCATED AT 3444 E GRANT RD, THE BMW BUSINESS.
07/03/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved PER WARD OFFICE REQUEST, ON SITE; CONFIRMED THAT OIL DRUM WAS REMOVED AND IT WAS SINCE 6/27/2019 WHEN IT WAS REPORTED TO JESUS WITH HAZMAT. FOUND THAT SOME PROGRESS MADE, SOME JMV'S OTHER REFUSE AND DEBRIS WAS REMOVED FROM THE PROPERTY.
06/27/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved CONTACTED JESUS SILVA WITH TFD HAZMAT, TO REPORT MOTOR OIL DRUM FINDINGS. JESUS WILL HAVE DRUM REMOVED IMMEDIATELY TODAY.
