| 04/17/2019 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Arrived on site and met with fire inspectors who were just leaving the site, as they were all complete. Spoke to Southwest Gas representative who stated gas has been shut off and no issues. Electricity at first structure is where the drop was and went into gutter box and then to 3 meters. First structure -was a duplex property which had recently been boarded by code and still remain boarded non-issue. 2nd Structure - is the carport which again no fire damage there. There is a door that needed to be Re- boarded and one door which was breached that needed a new board, again all on second structure 3rd Structure - is a house at the rear of the property, this is where the fire was. Back half of the roof structure was burnt with large holes in the structure and able to see daylight. The roof structure that remains is chard and blackened with large areas of the wood structure damaged from the heat. Drop down ceiling in the front room and in the bedrooms was burnt away. Heavy smoke damage and fire damage throughout the back end of the home to include roof structure, ceilings, walls and damage to electrical system. The electrical system sustained heavy Heat damage to the entire interior of the structure with melted wiring and melted outlets throughout. The mechanical that was situated inside the roof is now laying in areas inside the floor of the structure which came down during the fire. Large amount of debris from the fire to include the mechanical, the roof structure, sheetrock and contents of the rooms burnt and Scattered throughout the interior of this burn down structure. Will call supervisor for instructions on board up and cutting power to this property. |
