| 04/02/2019 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a building fire. Arrived and the units still on site and clearing. The building had no fire damage and the fire was in the area of the disconnects and the back up generator for the building. The building is City of Tucson property and facility was on site checking the interior equipment if operable. This building is IT for the city and was down at this time. The fire was in a switchgear and was a total lost. The main breaker was turned off due to being tripped from the fire. Did do a lock out on the breaker. T.E.P. was called to the site to check on the equipment and the fire damage. The main transformer was OK at this time and had power to the main panel where the breaker tripped. T.E.P. was able to leave the power on due to the damage was done on the city side and could control the power at the breaker where the lock out was done. Did request a contractor be called to the site to check on doing temporary connection to the switchgears that are operable and have a backup plant brought to the site. Once the lock out was completed, I left the site and will check tomorrow during daylight hours. RV. |
