THATS WHEN THEY CONTACTED 911. UPON MY ARRIVAL I CHECKED UNIT 2122 NEXT DOOR, OCCUPANTS HAD LEFT BUT CAME BACK AND ALLOWED ENTRY. THERE WAS NO FIRE OR WATER DAMAGE AND I ALLOWED TENANTS BACK IN UNIT 2122. I ASKED IF THEREWAS SMOKE DAMAGE THAT THEY WORK THAT ISSUE OUT WITH THE MANAGER/ MAINTANENCE. CHECKED 1122 AND FOUND NO WATER OR SMOKE DAMAGE. CHECKED 1121 BELOW THE APT FIRE AND DID FIND SOME WATER DAMAGE. WATER WAS SEEPING DIRECTLY BELOW WHERE THE ABOVE WATER HEATER SAT AND COMING DIRECTLY THEU THE SAME WALLS FROM ABOVE. IT WAS NOT MAJOR WATER DAMAGE AND OCCUPANT WOULD BE STAYING WITH A FRIEND. MAINTANENCE PERSON JESUS MONTANO STATED THAT THEY DID CONTACT WATER EXTRACTION COMPANY WHO INFORMED THEM THEY WOULD BE THERE APPROX 7 AM. REGIONAL MANAGER VICKI GARCIA CONFIRMED THE WATER EXTRACTION. DID FIND MINOR WATER DAMAGE IN UNIT 2424 WHO PICKED PERSONAL BELONGINGS UP OFFTHE FLOOR AND CAN ALSO WAIT UNTIL 7 AM. MY FINDINGS FOR UNIT 2121 ARE AS FOLLOWS: >N/E BDRM IS A TOTAL LOSS, ALL CONTENTS FIRE DAMAGED. OTHER CONTENTS THRU OUT THE UNIT FIRE DAMAGED. >DRYWALL FIRE DAMAGED, OR VERY HEAVY SMOKE DAMAGE THRU OUT THE UNIT >FIRE DID NOT TOUCH THE ROOF OR WALL FRAMING ANY WHERE. >ELECTRICAL WIRING AND HOME RUNS LEFT EXPOSED. INTERIOR SUB PANEL WAS FIRE DAMAGED. ALL WIRING, OUTLETS, SWITCHES, AND FIXTURES WERE FIRE DAMAGED OR HEAVY SMOKE DAMAGE. ELECTRICAL METER BOOTED AT THE SERVICE PANEL. ELECTRICAL RECONNECT REQUIRED. >ALL PLUMBING FIXTURES IN THE BATHROOM AND KITCHEN RECEIVED HEAVY SMOKE AND SOOT DAMAGE. >WINDOWS AND DOORS IN ALL BEDROOMS & LIVING R00M WERE FIRE DAMAGED. >MECHANICAL DUCT WORK RECEIVED SOME FIRE BUT HEAVY SMOKE DAMAGE >INSULATION REMOVED FROM THE N/E BDRM AND LIVING ROOM. LIVING ROOM PICTURE WINDOW WAS BOARDED AND SECURED. OCCUPANTS RECEIVED HELP FROM RED CROSS BUT OCCUPANTS PROVIDED HOUSING WITH APT CORPORATE UNIT IN THE COMPLEX. NOV WAS ISSUED FOR A EMERGENCY VACATE. PERMITS REQUIRED WAS INCLUDED ON THE NOV. "KEEP VACANT PLACARD POSTED ON THE FRONT WINDOW. REGIONAL MANAGER AND OCCUPANT GIVEN A COPY OF NOV AND NOV SENT REGULAR MAIL TO THE OWNERS. |
